JOB VACANCY SUPPLY CHAIN/ LOGISTICS MANAGER AT LAPLACE TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED

Laplace Technologies Limited is a leading telecommunication
engineering service company in Nigeria. Operating out of Lagos Nigeria,
we also have regional presence in Ibadan, Kano, Abuja, Enugu, Port Harcourt
and Accra in Ghana. As a result of expansion and strategic positioning, 
we are seeking for highly competitive and top of class Supply Chain/Logistics Manager (SCL M)
to strengthen the growing company.
 
Job Title: Supply Chain/Logistics Manager (SCLM)
 
Description
Supply Chain Manager is responsible for managing and organizing the activities involved with the identification, acquisition, and distribution of goods and information through the complete supply chain system. Supply chain management commences with the acquisition of raw resources and ends with the delivery of final goods or Services to customers. This requires individuals who possess the ability to network and coordinate events with business partners and service firms covering a wide variety of sectors, including service, transportation, and warehousing. Information management and distribution management are also play important roles in this relationship.

• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
• Local knowledge of the region will be an advantage. Preferably indigenes of the region will be given priority.
• A valid Driver’s License and a driving experience of not less than 5 years.
• Maximum Age of 38 Years 
 
• B. Engr/HND in any Engineering Discipline. MBA/MSc will be an added advantage
• Minimum of 5 years experience and 3 years direct work experience in a Supply Chain management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.
• Must be a professionally trained & certified in Supply Chain Management or PMP/PRINCE2
• Good understanding of the Mobile  Wireless  Telecommunication Network Architectures and network components not limited to Radio Access, Transport and Civil Site Build
• Strong familiarity with project management & other Business Applications software
• Competent and proficient understanding for any Telecommunication Original equipment Manufacturer (OEMs) – preferably Huawei, Ericsson and NSN
• Prior working knowledge of Huawei equipments will be an added advantage.
• Demonstrated experience in personnel & process management.
• Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
• Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently, and flexible during times of change.
• Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines.
  
 
Work Conditions
• Overtime may be required in meet project deadlines.
• Sitting for extended periods of time.
• Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.
 
 
Responsibilities:
- Supply Chain Management
• Services & machineries procurement as projected in feasibility study 
• Responsible for Timely implementation of projects
• Introduced new local & International suppliers  keeping TQM factor 
• Import of raw material, plant & machineries and Export of Finished Product
• Ensuring Commercial Documentation for the smooth Logistics Movement 
• International banking related to Letter of Credit issue and handling insurance issues.
• Handling Statuary Compliances & Liaising work with Government Agencies 
• Responsible for IT infrastructure & ERP implementation in EFME 
 
• Responsible for SCM Strategy & Global Sourcing Strategy, Lead time factors
• Responsible for Vendor Development, Negotiating contracts RFP/ RFQ and managing contracts Vendor Grading & Finalization of Contracts/ Rate Contracts/ Sub Contracts. (Locally as well as Internationally) 
• Responsible for sourcing and deliveries of services and goods for project implementation (Plant & Machineries) 
• Centralized Procurement Activities for major categorized Bulk Materials and Engineering materials meeting core-engineering specifications.
• Devising Policy Guidelines and developing, implementation of Systems & Procedures Ensuring Commercial correctness in all the transactions including movement of materials across the country. 
  
- General Management: 
• Constantly striving to improve the overall supply chain by periodic customer, supplier, vendor & warehouse visits & review of processes.
• Recruitment & Training of new staff for the department. Preliminary performance evaluation on annual basis.
• Managing a team of 6 to 8 Logistics Co-coordinators.
• Management of office and other administrative activities.
• Responsible for Staff Training & development program.

- Logistics Management: 
• Responsible for in house and outsourced logistics activities, Logistics & Supply Chain Management between the vendors and EFME 
• Customs Clearance, Warehousing & Distribution of finished goods, Inward & Outward logistics.
• Distribution of Materials from Warehouse to various locations/sites 
• Replacement of material from one site to another site on installation/commissioning of site 
• Vendor Management & Vendor Development 
    
 
- Inventory Management & Control: (where applicable)
• Inventory Management and Developing appropriate inventory management processes to drive costs and inventory reduction programs while ensuring adequate stock levels for current and future requirements. 
• Prepare annual Business Plan for distribution & logistics costs 
• Controlling warehouse stock distribution to optimize inventory cost.
• Forecasting & planning the stock re-order level for storage & distribution.
  • Conduct half-yearly physical stock take.
