Job Title: Government Relations Advisor

Location: Abuja
Job Description: Monitor and provide proactive and effective feedback on current developments at Federal & State levelsProvide weekly intelligence reports & feedback on emerging issues in federal and state government circles as it relates with telecommunicationsIdentify regional vulnerabilitiesPrepare correspondence and position papers on government related issuesEstablish and maintain a viable relationship with key government stakeholders at federal and state level ManagementInitiate regular meetings with key government stakeholdersProvide advisory support on key Government stakeholdersProvide regulatory input on topical issues & remedial actionDevelop and maintain relationship with key government stakeholdersProvide legal and regulatory opinion on all issues that impact on MTN from a regulatory perspective, including new legislatures, government policies, etc
Job Conditions: Normal MTNN working Conditions
Reporting To: Senior Manager, Government Relations
Required Skills:At least 4 years work experience comprising of:
Experience within the telecommunications industry or public sector preferablycandidates must demonstrate understanding of the dynamics of government. Evidence of engagement in those processes will be an advantage
Employment Status: Permanent
Qualification: Minimum of Bachelors Degree in the Arts, Social Sciences or Law
